A caring, patient nature
You treat people with dignity and respect, even on hard days.
Dependability
Families are counting on you to show up when you say you will.
At least 18 years old
You're legally able to work in Michigan and pass a background check.
Reliable transportation
Helpful for getting to clients' homes, though not required for every role.
Experience is a plus, not a must
CNA, HHA, or personal caregiving experience helps, but we'll train the rest.
Willingness to complete a background check
Every caregiver we place is screened before meeting a family.
Two ways to get paid
Depending on the client, you may be paid through the state's Home Help program or directly by the family.
Through MDHHS Home Help
If your client is already approved for Michigan's Home Help program, you can enroll as their approved provider. The state pays you directly each pay period for the approved hours — no invoicing families, no waiting on private payment.
We'll walk you through what MDHHS requires, including the CHAMPS enrollment and background check, if you haven't done this before.
Private pay
Some families pay for care directly, without going through Home Help — often while their Home Help application is in progress, or because they don't qualify for Medicaid.
We match you with clients based on your availability and the type of care you're comfortable providing, whether that's Home Help, private pay, or both.
